Mrs. Miller's Top 10 Apps for Pre-K (Rising Kindergarten)



Phonics

   1.     Starfall ABC’s - $2.99 (Very basic:  See, hear and interact with letters and sounds in words, sentences, and games) and,
Starfall Learn to Read - $2.99:  There are 15 mini-books, each focusing on a specific beginning sound, ending sound and vowel sound, along with videos and activities to enhance literacy learning. 

2.     Free Fall Spelling - $.99:  Works great with Pre-K/K as a tool for learning the alphabet by turning on “Show Hints” under the Settings menu.



3.     All About Letters (by Lakeshore) - $1.99:  Explore the whole alphabet.  Animated lessons cover letter formation, letter sounds and more (ages 4-6).

4.     Learning A-Z (also called Raz-Kids) – Free:  Type in your child’s Teacher Username:  rbreuerb and select your child’s name from the class list.  Practice listening to and reading books.  Leveled books starting at Level aa up to Level Z.  Can continue to increase the student’s reading level as they progress.

Math

5.     Monkey Math School Sunshine - $1.99:  Sequencing, patterns, counting, adding, etc. (ages 3 to 6).

6.     Math with Mouse – Free:  Practice addition by counting the objects.

 All Subjects

7.     Fish School HD – by Duck Duck Moose - $1.99:  Includes letters, numbers, shapes, matching and more.

8.     Teach Me Kindergarten - $1.99 (during the year we worked with Teach Me Toddler).  Dolch sight words, addition up to 10, subtraction from 10 down and spelling (complete the word by choosing the first letter).  Can set different difficulty levels.

9.     Monkey Pre-School Lunchbox - $.99:  Learn about colors, letters, counting, shapes, sizes, matching and differences (ages 2 to 5).

10.  LittleSolver Preschool Logic - $.99:  Helps to develop critical thinking and analytical reasoning through matrix analogies and logic puzzles.
